Unclassified Assets

The Other or unclassified asset is used to manage, organize, and automate all types of files (.zip, .log, .r3d, and others). Files ingested as Other assets can be added to collections and used with workflows.

• Unclassified assets will not have a thumbnail image or preview.

• Unclassified assets can be searched through associated metadata or name using the left-hand panel.

• Adding a mime type for a file that initially comes through as Unclassified will allow it to be assigned a different Asset Type for all future ingests of that file type.
  • For example, a .r3d could be added as a video type and then all future .r3d files will be video assets rather than unclassified.
