Projects
You can import and manage projects from Adobe Creative Cloud using the latest Reach Engine Adobe integrations, enabling all your creative teams to operate in a single management system.
Import A Project
To import a project:
- From the Assets tab, with no asset selected, click the Actions menu then Import Project.
- Enter a project name.
- Select the type of project.
- You can select Categories to apply to the project.
- Select the project file from either a local or remote location.
- You can select a Sidecar XML file to import.
- Select whether or not to lock the project on import.
When a project is locked:
- Other users cannot access the master version of the asset.
- Other users can make a duplicate of the original project.
- The owner of the asset or an admin is the only person who can unlock a locked asset.
- Enter a description in the Comment section.
- Click Submit.
Once imported, double-click a project in the Assets tab to open it in Unified View. The right sidebar displays the project asset information. Click the Edit button to modify this information.
The Actions menu allows you to add the project to a collection, check in/out the project, delete the project asset, edit metadata, and show project versions.
Check-In/Out or Unlock a Project
To prevent other users from modifying a project, you can check out that project, work on it, and then check in your changes.
To check out a project:
- From the Assets tab, select a Project asset that is not locked, click the Actions menu, then Project Check Out.
- Select the Content Type and Operating System.
- Save the project to Remote or Local.
- Navigate to the location where you want to save the project.
- Click Select.
To check in a project:
- From the Assets tab, select a checked-out Project, click the Actions menu, then Project Check-In.
- Select the project file that you are checking in.
- Select the Sidecar XML file if needed.
- Choose whether or not to keep the project locked once it is checked in.
- Enter Comments about the project changes.
- Click Submit.
Users who have a project checked out or an administrator can unlock a project:
- From the Assets tab, select a checked-out Project, click the Actions menu, then Unlock Project.
- Click Unlock.
The last saved version of the project is now available.
