Collection Permissions Explained

Two types of permissions apply to collections:

• Create collections.

• Modify collection contents.

If a user has only the Create Collections permission, the user:

• Can create new collections (public and private).

• Cannot add assets to public collections.

• Can add assets to private collections.

If a user has only the Modify Collection Contents permissions, the user:

• Cannot create public collections.

• Can create private collections.

• Can add assets to both public and private collections.

If a user has both permissions, the user:

• Can create public and private collections.

• Can add assets to public and private collections.

If a user has neither permission, the user:

• Cannot create public collections.

• Can create private collections.

• Cannot add assets to public collections.

• Can add assets to private collections.
