Media Profiles
Media Profiles are used by Reach Engine to validate specifications against assets to ensure media requirements are upheld and properly formatted. To view the media profiles available in Reach Engine, click More in the left menu, then click Media Profiles.

Display and Search Media Profiles
- Click the Admin menu.
- Click Media Profiles in the left menu to display a list of existing media profiles.
- Select a media profile and click the Actions menu beside the Media Profiles title in the middle of the page to see available actions. You can:
- Edit media profiles. You can also double-click an item to edit.
- Add new media profiles.
- Delete media profiles.
To search for media profiles, click in the Search box and enter your search term.
Create a Media Profile
- Click the Admin menu.
- Click Media Profiles in the left menu.
- Click the Actions menu beside the Media Profiles title, and choose New Media Profile to add a new profile.
- Enter a Name for the new Media Profile.
- Choose the video Format/Container Type to which the profile will apply.
- Select the file extension(s) that are allowed or not allowed.
- Select the Duration for the video in hours:minutes:seconds:frames format. The choices are: exact value, greater than, less than, in range.
- Enter the number of audio tracks. The maximum is 32 tracks with 16 channels per track.
- Click Save. Edit Media Profile displays.
- Select the audio format.
- Enter the Bit Rate for the audio track in hours:minutes:seconds:frames format. The choices are: exact value, greater than, less than, in range.
- Select the number of channels. Channels are totaled across all tracks.
- Click + to add another audio track. Click Remove to remove an audio track.
- Select the video format.
- Enter the Overall Bit Rate in bits per second format. Limits are based on the object type within the database.
- Select the video codec(s).
- Select the frame rate.
- Select drop frame if required.
- Select the scan types: progressive or interlaced. Note scan type combines with scan order.
- Select the display aspect ratio for the video.
- Enter the height and width in pixels. The choices are: exact value, greater than, less than, in range.
- Click Save.
