Setting up a single User for Cognito MFA

This assumes MFA is not set for the whole user pool during its creation; which is the only time it can be set for the full pool.

Open up the Users tab under in your associated AWS Cognito user pool

Under Actions click Update MFA configuration

Add a phone number and indicate that it is verified.

Click Save changes
